merit badge counselor training - This module will guide new and potential merit badge counselors through their responsibilities in the role and will give them an understanding of the methods of counseling Scouts. It is intended as a short orientation course for new merit badge counselors before they begin working with Scouts.

Please check www.meritbadge.info for 1 day merit badge clinics.  You must get Scoutmaster approval prior to signing up for a merit badge.  Also remember that you must have a merit badge counselor prior to starting the merit badge unless attending a Merit Badge Clinic (Advance-A-Rama).  If a Scout is going to an Merit Badge Clinic (Advance-A-Rama) make sure that you get a blue card from the Scoutmaster before you go.  This is how you get credit for earning your merit badge.  You need to read the merit badge book and do any prerequistes before going to the class.  HAVE FUN!!!
